The cause of death is not made public yet.  ‘Very sad news. Marc Waelkens, the former director of the excavations at the Pisidian city of Sagalassos in Turkey, passed away on the 21st of February. ....@turarchaeonews   announced the passing of Waelkens on social media on 22nd February, 2021.
