Lee Weber age 38  has been identified as the Pittsburgh firefighter, drowned during a family outing on Lake Erie on Saturday July 24, 2021.  According to the police report, Weber was on a family outing in Conneaut, Ohio when he got caught along a break wall and went under the water. Weber was found an hour later, Weber  contributed greatly to his community and country. He was an inspiration and mentor to many, he will be dearly missed.

” HEARTBREAKING: A Pittsburgh firefighter drowned during a family outing on Lake Erie on Saturday.
According to family, 38-year-old Lee Weber was on a family outing in Conneaut, Ohio when he got caught along a breakwall and went under the water.

A Coast Guard helicopter from Detroit was called in to assist in the search, along with a water rescue team from Lake City in Erie County, Pennsylvania.

Weber’s body was found about an hour later. Deputy Coroner Evan Howe confirmed it was a drowning case and there will not be further investigation.
Weber had been with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire since June of 2015. He is also an Army Veteran.”
