Tony Holloway Death-Obituary, Tony Holloway Has Died

Tony Holloway Death

Tony Holloway Death – Obituary – Colehill Parish Council members have made it known to us of the sudden and unexpected passing away of former councillor, Tony Holloway, who was said to be one of their longest serving members, who died suddenly on the morning of Sunday 12th of September.

Tony was born in Hayes Lane, Colehill and schooled at the Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Wimborne. Tony served in the Royal Air Force as an Officer Instructor with the Air Training Corps. He then worked in the electrical industry, thereby setting up his own business.

He finally stood down at the elections of May 2019, such a long serving member, he had seen many changes and was a great encyclopaedia of information on the history of the village and the council.

Tony was appointed Justice of the Peace in 1972, an office which he served for 29 years – with no remission for good behavior as he would always say.

Recently Tony and his wife Freda opened their garden every year for the National Gardens Scheme, raising thousands of pounds for Philantrophy and charity.
He is survived by his widow, two children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by family, friends, loved ones and well wishers at this time of his passing away. We pray God comforts the family he left behind and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of his passing.

Tributes And Condolences
