A man was shot and killed in Titusville on Sunday.Police say the shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. on Gayle Avenue near Queen Street.They say a woman called 911 to report a man assaulted her in the roadway.Officials say an officer and the suspect got into an altercation, and that’s when the officer opened fire, hitting the suspect.The suspect died at the scene and the uninjured officer has been placed on administrative leave.The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
