Tyler John Amberger

Tyler Amberger passed away as a result of a tragic accident on Saturday, December 24, 2021, at only 18 years of age.

He was a dedicated athlete, son, brother, boyfriend, and grandson.

Tyler loved his mother and father deeply and that didn’t change after his mother passed away. He inherited the good from both of his parents, and always tried to live up to the expectations of his father, grandmother, girlfriend, and friends.

He excelled in everything he tried, from wrestling to soccer, dive, and lacrosse. He was a team player whose outgoing personality allowed him to reach people of all different skill sets and backgrounds.

Those who were lucky enough to be close to him knew that his loyalty had no boundaries. He gave everyone a chance, and loved all people, animals, and all adventures.

His passion for animals was truly amazing. He saved sting rays that were stuck on the rocks at the beach, stopped traffic to move turtles, and kept cats he found on the side of the highway.

He always had a passion for music, movies, fishing, snowboarding, exploring the outdoors, feared nothing and appreciated everything.

If you ever needed him, he would find a way to be there for you, whether on foot, bike, or skateboard, no matter how far the journey.

Tyler’s smile was contagious and he was the life of every party. Whether you met him once on the street or knew him for years, his spirit was not one that could be forgotten.

He cherished time his with grandma, cooking her dinners, cleaning up her backyard, building tire swings for his cousins and playing with them for hours on end. Tyler also had a wonderful relationship with his sister that went deeper than blood, they were best friends since the moment Tyler was born and never lost contact despite all the obstacles they were faced with.

While juggling all of his sports and friends, he maintained a happy and healthy relationship for about three years. As a boyfriend, he was protective, supportive, playful, and comforting. His love had no limitations and he went to extreme lengths to make sure that everyone around him was happy and felt loved.

Tyler will forever hold a special place in the hearts of the people that knew him. He is now at peace in his mother’s arms, as he was when he was born. And with that, we should all find peace.

Son of the late Melanie Amberger, he is survived by his father; John M. Gavis, III (Lisa Kronberger and her parents Mark and Susan Kronberger); his sister; Gabrielle Gavis, His long time girlfriend, Halle Nystrom (her parents Julie and Brian, and brother, Thomas Roode); Maternal grandmother, Diane Amberger (late John), Paternal grandfather, John M. Gavis, Jr. (late Kathleen Daniels), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

His Life Celebration will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, 10AM, at Beck/Givnish Life Celebration Home, Inc., 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown. Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday evening, January 5, 2022, from 6-9PM, and again Thursday, 8:30-10AM at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, 12:30PM, at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064. There will be no funeral procession

What Is An Obituary

In national newspapers an obituary (obit for short) is a news article that reports the recent death of a prominent person. Although it tends to focus on positive aspects of the subject’s life this is not always the case. According to Nigel Farndale, the Obituaries Editor of The Times: “Obits should be life affirming rather than gloomy, but they should also be opinionated, leaving the reader with a strong sense of whether the subject lived a good life or bad; whether they were right or wrong in the handling of their public affairs.”

In local newspapers, an obituary may be published for any local resident upon death. A necrology is a register or list of records of the deaths of people related to a particular organization, group or field, which may only contain the sparsest details, or small obituaries. Historical necrologies can be important sources of information.
