Judith “Judy” L. Leason

Judith “Judy” L. Leason (nee Trykowski) on January 4, 2022 of Bellmawr. Age 71. Loving mother of James Leason, Jr. (Dawn) of Deptford and Jeffrey Leason (Christine) of Barrington. Devoted grandmother of Kristen, Matthew, Michael, Angela, Dominic, and Justin. Beloved sister of William Trykowski (Carol). Dear aunt to William Trykowski, Jr. (Teresa). “Second Mom” to Bernadette Bohannon. Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Walinski, and her brother, Howard Hogate.

Judy was a Production Supervisor for Metrologic Instruments in Bellmawr. An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, Judy enjoyed boating, flower arranging, toll painting, and arts & crafts. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and her fur baby, Cassie.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 2pm to 3pm in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096. Funeral Service 3pm in The Chapel at the funeral home. Interment private.

In national newspapers an obituary (obit for short) is a news article that reports the recent death of a prominent person. Although it tends to focus on positive aspects of the subject’s life this is not always the case. According to Nigel Farndale, the Obituaries Editor of The Times: “Obits should be life affirming rather than gloomy, but they should also be opinionated, leaving the reader with a strong sense of whether the subject lived a good life or bad; whether they were right or wrong in the handling of their public affairs.”

In local newspapers, an obituary may be published for any local resident upon death. A necrology is a register or list of records of the deaths of people related to a particular organization, group or field, which may only contain the sparsest details, or small obituaries. Historical necrologies can be important sources of information.
