The Titusville Police Department on Monday identified the man killed in a shooting over the weekend as Anthony Lamar Berry.Berry was pronounced dead on the scene. The suspects are still at large.Brenda O’Brien lives next to the apartment complex where the shooting took place.“One shot, then hesitation. Then five more shots. Then nothing,” O’Brien said.Detectives said the shooting happened Saturday during a fight involving nearly 30 people in the 500 block of Rock Pit Road.Paul Isaiah knew Berry well. “He was normal, he was good people. But he did not get into trouble, never hurt anybody. And I came back and he was dead,” Isaiah said.Residents say that the body in the middle of the street after the shooting. The Titusville Police said that this was not a random act. Shootings in the neighborhood are not new.“They’re just families. Trying to make it. Can’t get a decent job so they sell drugs. And That’s what they fight with each other about. It’s always drugs and money. One day they’re friends, the next they are enemies,” O’Brien said.The Titusville Police department is encouraging anyone with information to call them at 321-264-7800 or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 by calling Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
